Callisto by Laura Wenmaekers is a new collector’s edition in the Collectable Art Catalogue series, published by Espaço Exibicionista Gallery. This book documents the artist’s solo exhibition at the gallery, featuring reproductions of all the paintings and drawings presented in the exhibition, alongside studio views connected to the development of the show. The publication includes an artist statement and written reflections by Laura Wenmaekers, offering insight into the conceptual foundations of the works, as well as her creative process and artistic practice.

Laura Wenmaekers studied art in the United Kingdom and France before joining The Florence Academy of Art in 2017. After graduating in 2020, she was awarded the Fourth-Year Prize as Graduate in Residence and subsequently joined the academy’s full-time teaching program. She is currently a Principal Instructor in the Drawing and Painting Program at The Florence Academy of Art.
