Entre a luz e a sombra duas forças se equilibram e combatem por um domínio total. O “Opera Mate” é um famoso xeque-mate protagonizado por Paul Morphy em 1858. Morphy foi convidado pelo Duque de Brunswick (Karl II) e pelo Conde Isouard, para jogar uma partida de xadrez durante a apresentação da ópera Norma de Bellini, no Teatro Salle Le Peletier em Paris. O jogo disputado no camarote privado do Duque, acabou por se tornar numa das partidas mais emblemáticas da história do xadrez.

The game played in the Duke's private box turned out to be one of the most emblematic matches in the history of chess.
