Alexandre Alonso apresenta nesta exposição a sua interpretação de obras “chave”, que lhe ofereceram a diretriz na forma como constrói o seu trabalho. Em ”The Inadequacy of The Unfinished” famosas pinturas de Rembrandt, Klimt ou Van Gogh são desconstruídas pelo artista na necessidade de criar uma intensidade e uma linha ténue de algo que pode desaparecer a qualquer segundo, ou reconstruir-se no próximo. Com mudanças obvias de escala, de valores cromáticos, texturas, definição e aproximação, Alexandre cria um estranho museu onde o fruidor se pode reencontrar com todos eles, olhos nos olhos.
Alexandre Alonso presents in this exhibition his interpretation of "key" works, which offered him the guideline in the way he builds his work. In “The Inadequacy of The Unfinished” Rembrandt', Klimt or Van Gogh famous paintings are deconstructed by the artist in need of creating an intensity and a fine line of something that can disappear at any second, or rebuild in the next. With obvious changes in scale, color values, textures, definition and approximation, Alexandre creates a strange museum where the observer can meet all of them, eyes in the eyes.
