A exposição Graziella de Paulina Goca é uma ode à beleza. Trata-se de um olhar para o passado, resgatar e reinterpretar neoclássicos através de um olhar feminino moderno, misturando-os com formas orgânicas que emulam as curvas da natureza, também associadas à suavidade, delicadeza e feminilidade, que é o tema principal deste conjunto de obras. Cada desenho a carvão desta exposição foi feito a partir de fragmentos de composições maiores da pintura neoclássica (século XIX), que já eram abordagens simplificadas da arte grega clássica (750 e 300 a.C.), retratando personagens tranquilos em vez de cenas caóticas com muito movimento e composições complexas, provocando que a ausência de cor, fundo ou qualquer outro elemento nos distraia da protagonista desta exposição: a musa.

The art exhibition Graziella by Paulina Goca is an ode to beauty, it’s about looking back in time and reclaiming and reinterpreting neo classics through a modern female eye, mixing them with organic shapes emulating the curves in nature, also associated with softness, delicacy and femininity, which is the main subject of this body of work. Each charcoal drawing from this show was made out of fragments of wider neo-classical (1800’s) painting’s scenes, which were already simplified approaches of Classical Greek art (750 and 300 BC), portraying still tranquil characters instead of chaotic scenes with a lot of movement and complex compositions, this time taking it a step further with the absence of color, background and any other element that distracts us from the protagonist of this show; the muse.

Paulina Goca é uma artista visual autodidata com mais de 10 anos de experiência, por meio da interpolação e fragmentação da figura humana na sua obra, juntamente com traços monocromáticos, cria uma linguagem própria, que utiliza para representar diferentes facetas do comportamento humano e convida o observador a um estado de autocontemplação. O seu trabalho já foi exposto em inúmeras galerias, museus e centros culturais no México e na Europa, destacando o "Institute Culturel du Mexique" em Paris (França) e o "Museo de la Ciudad de México" na Cidade do México. O seu trabalho integra algumas das mais importantes coleções de arte no México, como a "Colección Milenio Arte", propriedade de uma das empresas jornalísticas mais importantes do México. Paulina Goca is a self-taught visual artist with now 10+ years in the field, through the interpolation and fragmentation of the human figure in her work, along with her monochromatic strokes, she creates her own language, which she uses to represent different facets of human behavior and invites the viewer to a state of self-contemplation. She has exhibited her work in numerous galleries, museums, and cultural centers both in Mexico and abroad, including “Institute Culturel du Mexique” in Paris (France) and “Museo de la Ciudad de México” in México City. Her work has been included in important art collections in Mexico such as “Colección Milenio Arte” owned by one of the most important newspaper companies in Mexico
