Carmen Mansilla, born in Madrid, trained in Design and Illustration at ESSED Madrid before pursuing a career in fine art. Deeply committed to figurative painting, she furthered her studies at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, specializing in classical portraiture and figure drawing, and refined her practice through workshops with acclaimed artists including Antonio López, Golucho, Alex Kanevsky, and Vicente Desiderio.
Mansilla has exhibited widely in Spain and internationally, and was a member of the Women Painting Women collective in the United States. Her work has received numerous distinctions, including First Prize at the International Drawing Competition of the Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi. Her paintings are held in important public collections, including the MEAM – European Museum of Modern Art, as well as in private collections across Europe and the Americas.
