Por definição, apócrifo é algo que não é autêntico ou cuja autenticidade não foi comprovada. Os apócrifos são cartas, coleções de frases, narrativas sobre a criação e profecias apocalípticas. Muitas das vezes são conhecidos como os textos sobre a vida de Jesus ou dos seus seguidores vinculados ao Antigo Testamento… escritos que a Igreja Católica não reconhece como pertencentes ao cânone bíblico.
By definition, apocryphal is something that is not authentic or whose authenticity has not been proven. Apocryphal are letters, collections of phrases, narratives about the creation and apocalyptic prophecies. They are often known as the texts on the life of Jesus or his followers linked to the Old Testament… writings that the Catholic Church does not recognize as belonging to the biblical canon.
