A exposição de pintura, da artista Daniela Guerreiro, Momentum Mori retrata aquele instante em que escolhemos parar e simplesmente estar. Mesmo quando o mundo à nossa volta se desorganiza, escolhemos permanecer em nós. No corpo, no pensamento, no agora. A abordagem visual das obras inspira-se livremente em elementos de artistas como Vermeer, Caravaggio, Lucian Freud e Jenny Saville – luz, enquadramentos, texturas e tons cromáticos ajudam a criar atmosferas intimistas e densas, onde o corpo é mostrado sem idealizações: com vulnerabilidade, presença, desejo e verdade. Não são retratos distantes - são espelhos de experiências comuns.
The painting exhibition, by Daniela Guerreiro, Momentum Mori it´s about that instant when we choose to stop and simply let it be. Even when the world around us falls apart, we choose to remain within ourselves. In our bodies, in our thoughts, in the present moment. The visual approach of the artworks is freely inspired by elements from artists such as Vermeer, Caravaggio, Lucian Freud, and Jenny Saville – light, setting, textures, and chromatic tones help to create intimate and dense atmospheres, where the body is shown without idealization: with vulnerability, presence, desire, and truth. They are not distant portraits – they are mirrors of common experiences.
Daniela Guerreiro (1992, Portugal)
Daniela Guerreiro é uma artista visual portuguesa cujo trabalho aborda temas de aceitação, diversidade e introspeção através da pintura figurativa. Nascida em 1992 em Faro, Daniela teve sua formação em Artes Visuais na Universidade do Algarve e em Pintura na Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa. A sua abordagem artística é marcada pela procura de retratar a realidade de forma crua e autêntica, usando a pintura como meio para captar experiências tanto individuais quanto coletivas.
Daniela Guerreiro is a Portuguese visual artist whose work approach themes of acceptance, diversity and introspection through figurative painting. Born in Faro in 1992, Daniela studied Visual Arts at the University of the Algarve and Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. Her artistic approach is marked by a quest to portray reality in a raw and authentic way, using painting as a means of capturing both individual and collective experiences.
