Daria Dolgareva (1991) is a portrait and figurative painter with a classical training, whose work is rooted in a deep study of traditional techniques and the legacy of the great masters. Her work has been widely recognized in international competitions, notably receiving awards at the ARC Annual Salon and an Honorable Mention at ModPortrait. Throughout her career, the artist seeks to harmonize the classical techniques of the Dutch masters with a contemporary sensibility. To overcome material limitations, she creates her own costumes and accessories, which become an integral part of her paintings. Her approach combines layered painting with expressive brushwork, exploring light, color, and texture to bring fabrics, jewels, and faces to life. The result is a unique fusion of past and present, where technical rigor coexists with modern vitality, evoking both nostalgia and the energy of our time.
